A second restaurant in Oak Brook, Illinois and two years later in Skokie, Illinois, was opened at the Clark and Grand site successfully. In 1994, Maggiano’s Little Italy debuted in McLean, Virginia at Tyson’s Corner Galleria II and decided to build a restaurant outside Illinois.History. In 1991, with the launch in Chicago of Maggiano’s Little Italy, Richard Melman developed LEYE’s Italian section. The concept is to “re-create the old pre-world war II dining house with family sized servings,” according to the company’s history.
The Maggiano is owned and operated by one of the world’s top casual food restaurant corporations, Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE: EAT) and serves more than one million visitors daily. In 32 countries and two territory, Brinker has or has more than 1,600 restaurants.
