In 1978, Mission Gorge Road in San Diego launched the first Restaurant in Souplantation. This was Dennis Jay’s concept, who was the Springfield Wagon Works bartender, a pioneer in El Cajon’s salad bars. The Soup exchange was launched by friends of Dennis, John Turnbull and Scott King.The Souplantation, our favourite buffet chain, was shut down. The country’s fans are deprived of the opportunity…. We feel that the restaurant in buffet style can succeed in providing sufficient safety and possible change to retain everything more health in the future.Souplantation, the famous dining-buffet business created 42 years ago in San Diego, has permanently closed down all its restaurants and is one of the victims of the pandemic COVID-19.In March 2020, it was temporarily shuttered its 97 premises in the Garden Fresh Restaurant Corporation because to government regulations for the COVID-19 pandemic. The closure was deemed permanent on 7 May 2020 and liquidation was requested by the firm.
